about-page.jpgAs long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for photography.  The emotional enjoyment that a photograph can give is extremely satisfying to me.  I became much more serious with improving my photography skills as my four children came into the world beginning 9 years ago.

I was fascinated by their unique personalities, inquisitiveness,  and countless emotions that I was able to capture with the camera.  This was very motivating.  I realized that there were many opportunities to depict their true personalities and inner spirit.  Playing, sleeping, hugging, running, crying.... These were moments that could be lost forever.  I carried my camera whenever I was with my family.

I soon realized the need to become more proficient both technically and creatively and learned by doing  as well as obtaining professional training both individually and in group settings.  I have been shooting digitally for over five years and am continuing to hone my skills in an ever changing and improving technological environment. Digital technology allows vast opportunity for the enhancement of my creativity.  This is very fun for me.

As a physical therapist, I also have the privilege to work with people of all age groups and cultural backgrounds.  I am often privy to their deepest emotions and am able to maintain a strong and engaging rapport with them.  These interactions allow me to see more clearly the inner spirit and goodness of people.  These patient experiences help me to more clearly understand what it is I strive to obtain in my photographs.  A patient once paid me a high compliment by saying I had a personality that made others want to smile.  These emotions are transferable to the camera’s eye.

My best work are those photos that are taken without the subject’s knowledge.  By providing a natural environment where children (people) are most comfortable and free to express their true spirits, I am able to obtain the best opportunity for an enjoyable and lasting result.  This opportunity is enhanced by our four seasons and many beautiful natural landscapes.

I currently reside with my wife and four children in Pembroke, MA.  I continue to be devoted to the art of photography and capturing those timeless emotions.
